Does the motor make the bike hard to pedal when it's turned off?

Not at all. The Malibu Elite Max features a Zero Resistance motor with a built-in clutch. When the power is off, or you exceed the motor's speed, the motor disengages completely, allowing the bike to roll as freely as a standard non-electric bicycle.

Is this bike easy to transport?

Yes. Despite being a full-sized cruiser, it weighs only 57 lbs. It also features a quick-release front axle, allowing you to pop the front wheel off in seconds without tools, so it can fit into most SUVs or onto a car rack.

How do I switch between the different power modes?

The handlebars feature an LED Panel for the Power Assist System (PAS). You can easily toggle between four settings: Zero (pedal power only), Low, Medium, and High. You can also use the variable speed twist throttle for instant power without pedaling.

Can the battery be removed for charging?

Yes. The battery pack is located behind the seat post. It is removable and lockable, so you can bring the lightweight pack inside to charge at your home or office while leaving the bike in your garage or at a bike rack.
